AI in video marketing: a smart partner, not a replacement

AI takes over the repetitive work in video production and gives us better data. Telling the story is still human work.

AI in videomarketing: een slimme partner, geen vervanger

In recent years you hear it everywhere: artificial intelligence is taking over the world. AI is showing up more and more in video marketing too. To some, that sounds like a threat, as if we will soon no longer need camera operators, directors or editors. In practice, though, AI turns out to be mainly an extra tool in the communication pipeline: a partner that strengthens our work rather than taking it over.

From repetitive to creative

Anyone who makes video today knows that besides the creative side, there is a lot of repetitive work. Think of subtitles, versions in different languages or formats, and analysing viewing behaviour. That is exactly where AI can make the difference. Tools generate subtitles automatically, translate scripts or cut content straight into social-proof snippets. That not only saves time, it also gives makers more room to focus on the creative core: telling stories that stick.

Smarter decisions thanks to data

AI also helps us understand better how videos perform. Where gut feeling used to rule, marketers now get insight into which scenes work, how long people keep watching and which message converts. That data is turned into clear recommendations, so we can adjust faster and make campaigns perform better.

Collaboration, not competition

Will AI ever take over the entire production? Probably not. Video is about emotion, authenticity and human connection. An algorithm can do a lot, but it doesn't sense what really matters to an audience. Still, the future remains unpredictable: technology is evolving at lightning speed, and who knows where we will be in ten years.
